Wedding Bands

If you’re engraving your wedding bands, instead of your initials and the wedding date, consider a single word, your wedding-song title or a line from your ceremony reading. Thanks to Brilliant Idea of the Day for the tip! Happy Planning!!!!

Reception Inspiration

Ask to see photos of previous events—not just weddings—that have taken place at your reception site. You just might pick up a few great styling ideas in the process.
This centerpiece was from my sister's wedding (isn't it beautiful!?). You may not want to do use this exact centerpiece, but like elements of it...the vase, the look of the hydrangea with the branches (the branches had crystal on them) or the delicate pearls holding the table number inside. Pull what you like and make it your own!
{This centerpiece was done by Garden Party Sisters in South Jersey. Be sure to check them out because they do great work and you will get quality flowers and great work!}

A Diferent Guestbook!

It's not your mother's wedding so why have a traditional guest book?

Wedding Guest Book Boxes are a perfect way to capture memories at your wedding, rehearsal dinner, bridal shower or any other celebration. Guests can write their address and special wishes on the included cards and then file them alphabetically. This will remain a keepsake to remember forever. Be sure to check out justwrightboutique on etsy! They have different styles, custom inserts and more stationary goodies. Happy Planning!

Floral Tip

Give your florist a swatch of a bridesmaid’s dress. If you ask for blue flowers for the bouquets, and the florist thinks periwinkle when you’re envisioning cornflower, you may be disappointed. Also, relieve yourself of the stress of totally matching everything to the exact color....first of all, it's impossible for perfect matches and in pictures that you won't even notice. Obvious differences are one thing, but exact matches can make you too stressed unnecessarily! Happy Planning!

Flower Power on a Budget!

Cost-effective flower fillers like star-of-Bethlehem and sweet william can be combined with more exotic varieties to stretch a budget. {I know I've said this before, but it's worth saying again....don't knock the carnation out of the line-up. There is a large variety and they can be blown out, they look quite chic in rich colors and done well! I will post some great carnation centerpieces in July from my best friend's wedding we're doing. In the mean time...Happy Planning!)

Fun Guestbook

Leave a Polaroid camera next to your guestbook so your family and friends can tape pictures of themselves next to their messages. You can use a scrap book instead of an actual "guestbook" that gives them room to write advice to the new couple. You can also let them take a 2nd shot for them to keep. Just be sure to count the cost, and you may want to consider having someone "man" this area for you! Happy Planning!
